The year so far @ trail head
The year could not be going any better, Bookings are coming in all the time as word of mouth has spread about our skills coaching sessions, not only amazing value but we are doing things a little different to other skills companies and it shows. I maybe a good rider but im an event better skills coach! Intrested in booking a half or full days coaching then drop us a mail bsxworld@tiscali.co.uk or hit up our facebook page.
We have even found a few days off to hit up some events, pushing my riding helps push my coaching and i feel it goes hand in hand to make me a better rider and coach to race at a high level. We hit up some XC events and we have been getting stronger.. 16th, 10th and a 3rd so far this year.Im a big fan of Enduro races, be it all-mtn or more dh style events, A good mix of my freeride skills and xc fitness makes for some fun events, I kicked off the year with the Frost bite enduro and raced all stages blind, Inside the top 20 for the DH stage with some top level pure enduro riders was a great start to the year and a top 45 overall (43rd), Now the Enduro1 all-mtn series has kicked off and we hit this up on the xc bike and took 16th overall and top placed hardtail rider for the day after 6 great stages. Rest the year looks more of the same, some freeride photo shoots and some more races when it fits around my Trail Head skills coaching.
Thanks for stopping by this blog, see you on the trail
Happy vibes

Testimonials

Fantatic session thanks Elbry
Superb and interesting choices of trail sections to teach on - difficult enough to be interesting and get some real progression but without being impossible.
Top day thanks!

Thanks to the skills session I had at the weekend I'm now so much more confident it my cornering, gap jumps and general dh style. After taking so much useful advise from my first skills day last year I have taken part in one enduro race and entered another.
I've now got the knowledge and confidence to be a better rider thanks to trail head, I'm deffinately going to be doing another one in the next few months to improve my on what I've already learnt :) thanks Elbry

Did a another skills day last weekend. This time DH and jumping.
Again I've come away a much more confidence and skills. Hitting jumps I'd normally shy away from!
Worth every penny!

Another sweet days coaching with Elbry on more dh skills. Loads of tuition which lead to such a huge confidence boost. Will be booking more.
Thanks Elbry

I recently done a group skills day with Elbry from Trail Head and 4 of my mates. Awesome day and gained bags of skills and confidence.
Prior to the day, Elbry asked what skills and areas we would like help with.
The day started with bike set up and bike body positioning, before we got stuck in. Right from the word go, we were all riding with a new style and focus!
We progressed onto various trail techniques including cornering, pumping and line choice.
Elbry had a real good approach to teaching and when we weren't quite getting it, he told us what we were doing wrong and what we needed to do.
Before we all knew it, we were riding more confidently and aggressively! And by the end of the day I was doing drop offs I thought I'd never do!
Quality day had by all and well worth it!

I have been riding mountain bikes for many years and thought i had a pretty good idea of how it was done, until Elbry showed us the errors of our ways.
We booked the skills day as we thought it couldn't hurt to get a few pointers and polish up on any areas that we were found to be lacking.
We were very quickly led round for a brief warm up to get the blood pumping then Elbry quickly reminded us of the importance of stretching and how we can do it.
He then introduced a completely new riding style to us. It looked and felt odd, but as we were there to be instructed, we listened and adopted it. As the day progressed, so did the level of tuition delivered.
From simple body positioning of the new style, to off camber wet and rooty cornering. All the tuition was given clearly, explained "why" and not just "how" and demonstrated individually with practical explanations that relate to our riding situation etc.
Can not really rate highly enough, buckets of speed and confidence gained in what is really such a short space of time. 10/10

The day started with a quick warm up ride followed by an introduction to stretching and bike set up, Elbrys passion for riding and teaching people to ride was evident from the word go,
he was friendly and his down to earth but professional approach put me and my 4 mates at ease. After talking us through the correct position we should be using when riding and why,
we got started with some basic trail riding and how to pump the trail to get the most out of it using what he had talked through with us, I found it a little difficult at first but with Elbrys knowledge and skill we were all improving very quickly.
We progressed onto choosing lines, cornering, roll-ins and drop offs again using the new stuff we learnt, with Elbrys watching us as we each did several runs he was giving us individual advise each time which was brilliant.
I found the whole day enjoyable and the skills I've learnt invaluable.
I would recommend this course to any riders whether they are beginners or been doing it for years (like myself).
Will be looking forward to possibly trying one of the more advanced skills courses trailhead offers next year after really getting to grips with what I've already learnt.
Thanks Elbry

Really good skills course starts with the basics, redefining & correcting bad technique.
We worked up to more advanced skills and rode technical sections and a nice big drop in.
There's alot to take in and learn, even if you've been riding for years,
would highly recommend.
